Use to migrate your data from NM Collector Software JE to NM Collector Software Cross Platform

NM Collector Software JE - Any Collection Any Computer that can run java – Windows, Mac, Linux. Designed to be run directly off of a USB flash drive for security and portability but can also be run from a hard drive, network drive, or even the cloud.

As described elsewhere, due to the age of this software combined with recent changes in Apple and Microsoft policies for downloaded applications, running it when downloaded from the internet has become an issue.  There are no problems when it is delivered on a USB flash drive.

This software is provided as is with no support except to migrate your data to NM Collector Cross Platform.  I would suggest using NM Collector Cross Platform Software instead.

This can be used to reset your copy of NM Collector JE.  You will need to reenter all data and re-apply your activation (if any).  Please download, unzip, then replace your current nmcswDB directory with this one.  You must delete your old nmcswDB directory before copying this one.   The location is [installation directory]\NMCollectorJE\NMCollectorJE.app\Contents\Resources\nmcswDB where [installation directory] is wherever you have NM Collector JE installed.

To reduce the amount of data you have to re-enter, you can use File > Export > to Desktop CSV to export your current data before deleting your current nmcswDB directory.  Then, after resetting your nmcswDB as described above, use File > Import > from Desktop CSV to bring your data back into the database.  This does not preserve your customizations but will bring in your data.

Gun Collecting Software for Windows Only - discontinued but migration path to our latest NM Collector Software is provided. This software is provided as is with no support.

Installation Suggestions

1. Optional: After downloading link, run a virus check against the downloaded file

2. Double click the file to start the installation.

3. Click the Unzip button to extract the installation files. The installation will start after the files are extracted.

4. Do not allow the default installation directory to move forward. This software was developed prior to Microsoft standard changed so it will not work in the standard installation directory. You will get a Runtime error when you try to start the program if you install to the default installation directory.

5. Suggest you install to C:\nmguncollector\ instead.

6. Once you have chosen the installation directory, start the actual installation by clicking the next button.
